Ack! Yeck! Ptui!

On my bedside table are two small spray bottles. One is an echinacea solution for my throat. The other is an aroma therapy scent (lavendar). One is plastic and the other glass. And while they are roughly the same size, they are of different enough shapes to tell them apart in the dark... About 5:46 this morning I was awakened by noise from next door, and soon after got a tickle in my throat. Not wanting to leave my comfy cosy bed to get some water, I reached for the throat spray. Yup, you guessed it. Didn't I spray lavendar into the back of my throat. I can still taste it now, eight hours later. What lovely, unexpected, taste-treat have you experienced lately?

yukkk no, I don't have much beside my bed because the cats would knock it off - heck, one of them excavating a cubby was what got me up today - had 3 pictures, a stuffed animal, a box and the front of the cubby on the floor - it was the door that finally got me out of bed

“Ack! Yeck! Ptui!” Oh dear that’s not a pleasant way to start the day! I bet your breath smells good! I don’t remember ever swallowing something weird like that, although I did spray deodorant on my daughter’s hair once instead of spray on conditioner! These things happen, not much good when you can taste them though!

My sister made the same comment about fresh breath when I told her about it.

Isn't lavender supposed to relax someone? It somehow induces sleep, right? I hope you didn't put anyone to sleep the moment you opened your mouth to say something. But geez, the taste must have been truly dreadful. Just be careful next time. My father once made a mouthwash out of a feminine wash. He was probably really groggy when he woke up one morning. Or just plain crazy. I know the feminine area has its own lips but I never thought he would really use it on the lips that's on his face. Hey, this is a 1-month old discussion. I didn't notice until i was done.

Hello, Barbara. Oh well, at least if you belch it will smell nice. I used to use a tea tree oil face wash, and a green coloured gel which was toothpaste and mouthwash combined. You're probably ahead of me, but one morning, I was running late and squirted the face wash onto the toothbrush. It was disgusting. One of them had to go, and, as the dentist said my plaque-free teeth were due to my toothpaste, I changed the face wash pronto.

Wow, that's horrible! Ok, for someone who likes coffee it won't sound horrible, but for me it was the worst tasting experience ever. I hate coffee's taste, and one day I saw in the table a glass of what looked like Coke. I was super thirsty so I took a sip of it and... coffee... it was extremely disgusting.

Hey Barbara! I can't even imagine what that must have felt or tasted like! But, I'm sure your breathe still smells really good! That reminded me of a story that my Mom still gets a kick out of telling about me when I was about 2 years old (no offense, not trying to compare)! She apparently had a grouping of some cute little bottles of french perfume on a perfume tray on her dresser and I, being a curious little brat decided to go into her room and drink them! No, not even put them on me, drink them! Well, of course she utterly panicked, called a neighbor and the doctor and he just said to make me throw them up that nothing bad would happen to me, except that I might be a little drunk! Apparently french perfume must have tasted pretty good because my Mom said I drank quite a few bottles of them! And I smelled really good too! I obviously have no recollection of this, but my Mom loves to tell the story! She only turned her back on me for a minute and that's all it took!

You probably were drunk, if you don't remember it. Or, maybe, your mom just makes up stories to embarrass you? I hope you learned your lesson, missy!
