DIET? Did you do it on your own or your seeking prefessional help?

Holidays are here surely we gained weights after this season so on your own experience when you wanted to shed off the extra fats & buldges do you seek prefessional help or you do it on your own. Whats the advantage or disadvantage of doing it on your own & seeking professional help. Please share your experience. Thanks.

hi! Yes, I did some diets, but it was 5-6 years ago, because my suit for the prom, was getting smaller to me and I must get thin!

I actually do it on my own. I've done it about twice in the past few months and I'm planning on doing it again real soon especially with all the weight I've put on this past month. What I do is, I do a 5 day high-fiber diet cleanse that helps to clean out my system of waste and helps to regulate it. And all this is natural, meaning there's no laxatives involved or anything like that. I actually bought the kit from a friend of mine and it has high fiber shakes that actually taste like real shakes and some bars and vitamins. Each time I did it, I lost at least 5 pounds. I'm actually really excited to do it again soon because I know I put on a lot of weight since the last time I did it =D

I was going to gym before. Now I left it. If I put on weight more, then I will regularly walk and do couple of yoga asanas or pranayamam at home. For exercises, if somebody helps you, you will get the correct postures of yoga or exercise. If we do it on our own, we may not get perfection. So going to gym is better always.

I don't think I would get professional help unless I really desperately needed it I am trying to do it on my own now and it seems to be working along with exercise. And professianal help these days is so expensive at some places. My stomach is sore from situps but I am going to do more later today. So for now I am trying on my own.

speaking of holiday....lolz! It is really hard to watch our diet during this festivity. I usually get distracted, so i tend to eat what i like and then start to go on diet after holiday season. I really don't seek for professional help although it is great to have a trainer or dietitian who can guide me on my exercises and diet. I usually consult on the internet and read books or article reference about effective ways to stay healthy and lose some weight. :)
