is drinking gatorade after vomiting is beneficial in your body?

my friend is a cyclist, he told me that drinking gatorade is good if your having stomach flu, is it true, if so how/does it help?

It can really help somehow coz it will rehydrate you back. I think that you lose fluid while vomitting so it maybe it could help :D

I agree with your friend it is what we the family used not just everytime we are vomiting but everytime we are sweating too much, dehaydration etc. It helps us recover faster than the usual using nothing to replenish the loss of too much water.

Hi bart, well not just gatorade specifically, its any isotonic water is good when your having stomach flu. I once had a stomach flu which was terrible that anything i tried to eat will just vomit out and i was having diareah, and the only food consumption i was prescripted by the doctor was isotonic water, since i can't eat anything my body will weaken fast and this virus cures for days if i will not take in isotonic water my body will sure to malfunction, this replaces the food you take in and is a source of energy to keep you going. helps you in your recovering process too.

Its guaranteed, to restore the fluid that are lost during your activity, having a flu is different because illness like flu needs medication and vomiting are always comes in when flu occurs, we can only use gatorade as replacement for fluids that are lost or suffer from dehydration.
