Which child TV show can you not stand?  

Your list pretty much says it right there, and I would like to add Spongebob Square Pants, Dora the Explorer, Flapjack, and Chowder to that list. I cannot stand those shows.

My oldest daughter is Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go crazy so I hate them show I have seen every episode around 50 times, The worst thing is she is only 18 months and has only been watching for a couple of months!

Sounds like someone else has been watching Nick Jr.! Our son loves Yo Gabba Gabba and I have to admit, I love the adult guests that come on the show. The songs also crack me up, ("Don't bite your friends!") I wouldn't sit down and watch it without him.

Max and Ruby caused me to drop a no-cartoon ban on the house for some time after the episode where Max kept making noise while Ruby and her friends were trying to play music together, and he imitated the behavior later that night. Same with Dora the Explorer. That Swiper character has inspired him to start sneaking around playing tricks on people and taking things (to the peril of a lightly paddled bottom) and I realized that the problem is not the cartoon, (obviously not made by people who have children who imitate) but that I've let him watch it.

I do like Backyardigans a lot. I wish they'd play long blocks of that instead of an hour of Olivia.

The cartoon that really drove us all crazy was a Sprout/PBS cartoon... Caillou. If ever there were a show invented to make little children behave like gigantic brats...

I'm 22 and even I like Yo Gabba Gabba. Its a real trip.

The one kids cartoon that does my absolute nut in (but for all the right reasons), is "Horrid Henry". It's about 2 brothers (Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter as they are referred to, even by their parents!) just depicts a sense of sibling rivalry and competition between the two brothers. It has Henry calling his little brother Peter a worm, for example.

Oh, I know, we don't live in a perfect world and sadly this is a reality in some households. I don't think though that TV should be promoting this though as if to somehow condone it.

Apart from that, there are a few others that bug me simply because of the noise of the characters such as Teletubbies, In The Night Garden and Big Cook, Little Cook. My youngest is past these now so I don't endure them anymore but they are one's I'll never forget!

I think your list of intolerable shows are a pretty sufficient judgment of the atrocities on t.v. nowadays. Cartoons are so outrageous now that sometimes I can't figure out whether the cartoon is for adults or really for children. Even the ones that are for children are just so annoying sometimes. I don't really like Diego's cousin Dora either. I don't like much of the Disney channel now either. Like you, I miss the classic cartoons and shows like the old Sesame Street and Scooby-Doo and even the old Barney. I guess t.v. will never be the same as we once knew it.

I just do not like when they pause for like a minute ask wheres the "big red ball" and its right in front of there face. I understand they are trying to teach kids but geesh I found the big red ball like 5 minutes ago lol
