Hi everyone, My question is how much time do you spend with your family? Do you wish you could spend more (or maybe a little bit less, sometimes)? Do you spend more time with friends than your family?

I really don't spend as much time with my family as I should or could even though I live in the same household. It's because we're just so absorbed in what we do, especially me. I get really into using the computer and chatting with my friends while surfing the web that I tend to hole myself in my room and not come out unless I want something to eat or something. We don't really do much family stuff either. Not even eating at the dinner table. We just eat on our own whenever dinner is ready. I really wish we could hang out more or something. Even when I come outside, most people are just in their rooms doing whatever it is they're doing. I definitely want to spend more time with family this coming year.

I live away from most of my family, so it's hard to see them as much as I want. I am very family oriented, but I am also independent at the same time. If I had more money to travel to visit, I would. But, I am always thankful for the time I get to spend with them and I try not to waste a second of it. Things get a little chaotic sometimes when the whole family is together, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I'll give-up reporting for work during holidays just to be with my family. I give-up my demanding, high paying job just to have a more quality time with them. I already give-up spending many overtime hours just to met my work's task just to be with my family. I give-up my company's Christmas party to be with my eldest choir performance several days ago. That how important family time for me.
