Hello, I have this cat and sometimes I really noticed that cats are selfish. I love cats and they really make me happy even oftentimes they do really think just their selves. They are just only sweet when they are hungry and want to eat, right? funny... though sometimes I get scratches I still like them and they make me feel comfortable and happy.

I will give you that when a cat wants something delicious to eat he or she can be pretty sweet. It is like they are buttering you up for something that they want; although, I think this is human (pardon the term here) nature. Everyone is sweeter and nicer to us when they want something from us. In all fairness, I have to say I really do not see my cat as being selfish. He is quite the sweetheart! He is the one that cuddles with me at night. When I am sick, my cat will cuddle with me on the sofa or in bed. He always comes over when I am crying to make sure I am okay. We tend to have our norms. He knows that the second I cover up with the blanket on the couch that it is Tiggertime! He enjoys watching television or listening to an audiobook with me. He just asks a few things in exchange - can kitty food every night. We all want to feel loved and spoiled. Tigger and I think it is a good exchange! aireanna 18's home page: http://www.xomba.com/user/aireanna

I will have to try to find a picture of Tigger to post. I've got a baby picture of him somewhere and a couple on my cell phone that I will have to upload to the computer. Yes, Tigger has his sweet side. Then, again he also lives up to his name! Can you guess how? What was Tigger in the WInnie the Pooh stories famous for doing? Post your guesses and I will post the answer later! aireanna18's home page: http://www.xomba.com/user/aireanna

I dont have a cat since I love dogs. Though I dont own a cat I had observed that cats are pretty selfish. Unlike dogs, they will never leave you even if you dont have any food to feed them. Cats are also snobbish too if you dont own them.

Well, I can't actually say that cats are selfish. It's true, they try to butter you up when they need feeding up. But that's not the only time that they are sweet and affectionate. Sometimes, they need some attention and stroking up. They need to be scratched, pampered and admired. By being their naturally attractive selves, they can make a sucker out of people. Yet I love them and found those qualities endearing, especially when cats look at me with their big, pitiful eyes. :-)
