The first time I went abroad, I felt very sad. After my class, I just went home, do some chores, study but while I was eating, I missed home. I was always talking to myself and eat alone. During my lonelines, every sad experiences in my life flashed back and I started crying. But as the days went on, and when I gained some friends with the same program as mine, I felt I was happier day by day. This is my second abroad now in different country, and of course and another adjustments, I still have homesickness, but not as bad ad my first. This time I have Internet at home and I can see and talk to my family regularly. I also put a mirror in my table so I am not eating alone as I can see myself. But when my mom dies and I was abroad, that was the saddest part of my life and takes time to recover.

I am sorry to hear that. Studying abroad may be really very hard. You will miss your home, miss your family, miss your old friends. When you start eating, you will miss the food your mother makes. Just try to make more new friends and you will find things get easier.

Make friends, hangout with them and have a good time that way you'll probably get over homesickness.
