Who was behind the STAR that lead the wise men to Christ  

As far as I know its God the Father who is responsible for the STAR to lead the wise men to CHRIST because at that time that JESUS was born there is no electricity yet & transportation that we have now adays so during night time its pretty hard for the KINGS to travel so God sent the STAR for them to see the way & they can continue traveling night & day.

I'm not a Christian, but I do read the Bible at least twice.

But you forgot 1 thing! The single star doesn't relate much to astrology. If you see a very bright star in the sky, and you look at it and wonder where it would lead you too, it's totally OK :)

Moreover, The God Father wants Jesus to sacrifice for the people, so Herod is just his means :)

I think they were lead to Herod because Herod has an important role to play in history of Jesus. As far as I know, the bright star-like object is not really a star. It is a group of angels moving. They were sent by God the Father.

Hi, ahmedgyawu. As far as I know, the wise men played a positive role. They were considered to be The Gift Of The Magi. And I never knew Satan to be behind any stars. As far as Christ's death goes, I think that it was The Jews that were responsible for his death. Satan used these men to murder Christ. That is how I view it all. I don't really know the real person behind this star that led up to Jesus death.

If we look at the results of the "star" it clearly shows that it must have been an attempt of Satan to kill Jesus before he grew up and fulfilled his important purpose - the reason why he was born on this earth.

Most people have learned this completely in a different way, so it can be very difficult for them to change the thoughts that they have had since childhood. There are still people who believe that Jesus was born on December 25, even if there is a lot of evidence that he was born in the autumn.

well i just have to confess i was the one behind that star after all those years u finally figured it out,r u kidding me a star way up in the sky led wise me one earth to where a child was born,a star as no time to b leading people to places on earth,the only time i see a star moves from one point to the next is only when it shoots off,

Ahmedgyawu, perhaps you should reread your whole Bible. In Genesis God created the world and the stars, so God can not be against Astrology. The star was sent by God to lead the wise men to Jesus, bearing gifts because their studies recognised the importance of the birth of Jesus to mankind. They were lead to the country where Jesus was born and naturally went to the city where the king lived to enquire to the whereabouts of Jesus, because that was how things were done in the Bible's time. It was Gods will that Herod desired to kill Jesus as Herod considered Jesus as a threat to his kingdom, thereby confirming the power and greatness of baby Jesus. And so I can go on and on.
There is a chapter in the New Testament that says that we will not understand everything that God does while we are alive, but full understanding will only come after death, once we have join God.
I have found that many people tend to pay to much attention to small details, forgetting that the Bible had been written by people and the Bible has also been translated many times over, resulting in slight changes to the original script.
Also consider that their calender is different than ours, leading to dates not being accurate. Add to that the fact that many "rituals" are created by man, not God, and celebrating the birth of Jesus is a "ritual".
In other words much of what we do, we do according to how we understand it, which does not necessary mean that our understanding is accurate, nor inaccurate, only flawed as is everything in life.
But I stick to my guns; God sent the star to lead the wise men to Jesus and everything they experienced along the way was to confirm/impress Jesus' greatness.
