In the news they said, 7 people died in Nebraska alone in last few days because of bad weather. This is so sad. These joyful festive days brought those families the worse news they could ever get. Weather wise past few days were just worse. Now it is getting better in our area. Please be careful people out there, don't drive in a bad weather if it is not a must. How do you handle bad weather? While going out side or driving, does it matter for you if the weather is bad or not?

Happy Holidays to you Sweetlady, it is definitely tragic that these people perished in bad weather accidents. I have to admit I would not go out for "recreation" purposes but have driven to try to get to work. I once went when it was sleeting/snowing and almost ended up in a ditch, my car spun out and luckily I managed to get control but it was a very terrifying feeling. There were no other cars out but if there had been, I am sure there would have been an accident as my car was everywhere but on the right side of the road. I love being home when its snowing but definitely do not like driving in it.

I also don't like to drive during snow time. But I hate to miss my classes. I am so glad that during this recent bad weather our holidays have been started. Stay safe!

I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. We are very use to bad weather here, and I have been in some of the worse conditions possible. Sometimes in the winter it is -2 degrees outside, with a -19 wind chill. On nights like that it is definitely not fun to walk anywhere. It is sad to see when people get themselves into a bad weather situation though, most of the time it is there fault because they choose to go out in those conditions.

We are very lucky, in that the weather here is not bad at all. It is a little cool, and there is some snow on the ground, but all in all, things are just fine. We don't drive. My husband and I rely on busses and taxis to get us where we need to go, so it is up to the drivers to make sure we get there safely.

It snows a lot and we got white outs and blizzards here in Manitoba, so we are used to bad weather. We have snow tires and we always have our high beams on when there is a blizzard. Plus we have to make sure we have enough gas in the car, and make sure that we do not get stranded. The worse, however, is when the temperature is near zero, and we get black ice. One thinks the roads are all right until one gets on the ice and starts sliding. Also if one is not used to bad weather , even a slight decrease in temperature may be too dangerous.

We have had very bad weather in our area ice storms and blizzards. We have stayed into most the time only going out to get needed items at the store. It scares me so bad my children that just recently started driving think its no big deal to go driving in a snow storm or ice storm. I told them no dont go out but they dont listen.
