Being vague in your introduction to the discussion doesn't help. However, I doubt this discussion is to discuss what to buy, though the tips were very good ones. I would've probably responded the same way.

However, I'm going to reply based off of what I think.

I have had three name brand computers in my lifetime, compaq Sony, and dell. Out of those three Its a toss up between Compaq and Dell.

Both were long-lasting stable and got me through four to six years with constant use.

Sony though I had it for a couple of months and it didn't take long to start over heating. All because of the battery. So yeah.... not going to happen there.

there is nothing like the best computer. however you can use the word "super computer" as the best computers. there are 10 super computers in the world
the max processing power of a very high end pc is 5 GFPOPS (max) where as a super computer can easily churn out 50-55 GFPOPS
