i want to make more friends

It is hard to suggest on your part because You know yourself more than anybody does. Try joining in some groups who share same of your interest. Join in groups that will make you comfortable and be the person. Have open discussions is good where you can relate your opinions. Learn to accept others view so that even you are offended, you are smarter enough to understand. Never do things that will tend to discriminate or leave a negative impression about you. From these, you gonna gain friends till the test of time, you can gain true friends.

If you introvert/shy person its not easy to make friends..try to go to malls,market or somewhere outside your house...just try to talk and keep smiling...just try and try there's a lot of people who wants to make friends also..try me!

Firebird: I live in a transient town and it is hard to get used to after being from a place where people greeted each other openly. Do not despair. Sounds like you may be in a college town also a transient town. The people you meet are not comfortable enough there to relax and be friends with anyone. They are trying to find their way in a strange place too. Just relax. Seek out activities that you enjoy and you will meet people of like minds. That is where you will meet your friends. I think that you could join an evening class. Then you would be able to meet some lovely people. I joined a Spanish language and met some interesting people. One was a lady that used to be a head teacher but she left work due to poor health. Another lady liked to go diving in the sea and it was fascinating to chat to her. One lady had a daughter a similar age to my son. I made friends with many of them. I think you are doing really well saying 'hi' to people and starting some conversions. I like chatting to people on transport like buses and trains. I have made some friends that way. I have made friends with other people similar to myself like ones interested in walking and cycling. You seem like a very likeable person. You should travel aways away and check out different areas. It is like me looking for the man of my dreams. I just don't feel he is around the corner and right here in my area. I think he is out there somewhere just not in my immediate area. Know what I mean? And, sometimes we try so hard to do or attain something that we seem weird or off kilter alittle. I just wouldn't try quite so hard, be yourself, and check out some other places.
