Wow! It seems like an AGE that I've been away from my computer but now that I'm back I want to know how you all are and what you did over Christmas and the New Year.
I went with Mum to a Carol Service in Town on the 22nd Dec and was disappointed because they have changed the words to both the service and some carols! Not impressed, I like the traditional version thank you!I visited my Uncle Joe in Acorn Lodge where he is stopping (he is mentally ill but is on medication so is OK) and it was treacherous getting there in the snow. The novelty of this snow wore off after a couple of days, especially that slushy stuff. Set to get more though next week.
The television programmes were abysmal and that's when I really missed my computer. However, I am, financially better off now after getting money as presents so I will no doubt buy some things on the internet as opposed to trolling round the shops, which I hate! I will let you know what I purchase, sad soul that I am!I enclose a couple of photos from my days away. Hope you like them.

I've been back home now since Sunday and am getting into the swing of things again. My main task today was to take the Christmas tree down for another year (always a sad moment but it needed to be done) and it didn't stress me out doing it, which surprised me somewhat. No tangled lights in sight! :-0

so how's the moment of keeping your christmas tree? i hope you're done now and overcome the sadness that you felt while doing it. don't worry there will be more years of christmas for you to put up your tree and celebrate christmas. cheer up friend!

I have a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration in the province with my family and friends. That was so great it feels like I don't want to go back to the city.lol! But of course my mind is really focus in my work and the great days to come so I really have to go back.
Though I had a terrible heartaches on the 17th of December I managed to discard it and struggle to make my Christmas wonderful, through prayers I combat all disappointments I felt during those times.

Thanks very much for your lovely response, it is much appreciated. The older I get the more cynical I have become about Christmas and what it all means, it all seems lost on the younger generation which is a shame (here in the UK anyway). However, my nephew has his birthday on Christmas Eve. He is 20 now and it doesn't seem like yesterday that he was a "babe in arms" so to speak. I am more aware of how the time literally does fly but we make the most of it don't we? And I am sure you have the same mentality. Good luck to you in 2010.
