Use of firecrackers during New Years Eve celebration

I have nothing against the use of firecrackers during the New Year celebration it is a tradition and it adds merriment to the occassion but it's use has to be regulated. I mean fireworks display with experts doing the job is fine but for every individual to celebrate New Year with unabated use of fireworks and firecrackers.. I think should not be practiced..How many lives have been lost and people injured due to firecrackers every year.. Do you think it is high time to put a ban on the use of unabated use of firecrackers... What do you think..
