I love my cats dearly. I've had them all for around ten years but I've recently moved to somewhere I can't have them and have had to rehome all my cats! I had five of them and they have been my best friends. We have travelled all around the country and I've managed to take them with me to each house but not this one! Anyway the good news is two of them went to live with a good friend of mine and three of them have stayed at the farm where I lived and my good friend from church moved in to look after them, so I still get to see them all, which is great. I'm just really sad that they don't get to retire with me, but they are actually probably better off and probably get better attention now having two owners. Have any of you had to give up your cats?

I am lucky that I have not had to get rid of any of my cats. I am sure it was hard on you getting rid of the cats. I am sorry that you had to move to a place where they do not accept pets. I hate when it when places do not accept pets. I had once looked at a place where they did not accept cats, but one could have a dog and a bird. I always thought cats were quieter and neat. I know that birds can be messy and dogs make noise.

To be honest I've actually had more problems with my cats!! I guess it's because there were so many of them. The landlord would complain about anything from the cats going on their property to the cats 'sitting around doind nothing'lol. My cat was nearly evicted from where I left them at my old place with my friend for church for eating a goldfish out of the pond!! Poor cats, they catn't just be left to be cats!

My cats are actually well behaved. They never make messes except in their box. They have a bowl for food and a bowl for water. I always make sure that their box is clean.
I am sorry that your cats have gotten evicted a few times. I know it is hard to give up pets, but sometimes we are given no choice. Sometimes it comes down to either you having a place to live or the pets, and sometimes it is more important for you to have shelter. My aunt recently moved into a place where she could bring two cats, her dog and the bird, but she has to pay an extra $200.00 a month.

I've had to do that. Or rather i will have to do that. George and I are cat people, and we rescued this cat after the hurricanes of 04. We have had him fixed, had all his shots, even declawed him. But, he is starting to cause us problems. So its come down to this, either get rid of him, or find a new place to live. So we'll have to find a home for him. Its not easy everyone we know is saying 'no'. So I don't know what else to do. I don't want to take him to a shelter. Because we'd have to do one of two things. leave him, or face rejection since he's about five years old, maybe six.
Most shelters would much rather put him down. But I couldn't do it. I just couldn't.
