go for LCD. you get better high definition quality and better picture quality especially for gaming. Now if you want the old tv type of colour then CRT is the type.Its just plainly colourfull but still the LCD is better.But choose the right type of LCD. some of them are crappy

I think that an LCD is the best monitor to choose because it is lightweight and thin. I know that a CRT monitor is heavy and large. It would take up more space. I had an ICD monitor with speakers included in it. I had a sound button which was handy. I advise you look at the prices and consider which one will best suit your desk. Best thing is for you to go for a LCD. Nowdays, the price difference between CRT and LCD is quite less, so you can go in for a LCD.The plus points of LCD are it consumes less power than a CRT. It is space saving, and finally you can get great images.

Hi! Of course it is the LCD- it has less electricity consumption and a lower radiation! It is not so bad for the eyes and it is more better for watching eveything!

It uses less electricity, it generates less heat and less radiation. Good for health and our earth. Roughly, an LCD consume about 35 watt compare to CRT monitor consume 75 watt.

- CRT have better view angle tolerance.
Today's technology still can't solve LCD limited view angle tolerance problem. It wont happen on CRTs, no matter from which angle you see to screen, the colors are the same.

I've just sold my 19" Philips CRT and bought a 20" Samsung LCD. Local electricity rate is raising and keeps raising here, I need to cut my electricity usage.

On CRTs, Philips has better colors compare to Samsung. But Samsung is pretty nice in price and the quality is okay.

If you buy a new LCD, I suggest you to lower the brightness or and contrast level. Because most LCD usually set it too high to gain the vivid colors, but it may stress your eyes.
