how often do you buy shirts for your children?

When my daughters were small, they needed a bigger size about every 6-12 months. For some things, like undershirts or T's, I usually bought 1 size larger, so that allowed for any shrinkage, and they could wear them a half year longer.

To recycle, I used the damaged clothes for dust rags, or cut out the good parts for doll clothes. The good ones were handed down to the littler ones, and those of the youngest given to cousins or to Goodwill. Some people cut them into squares and sew them into "memory" quilts. I did that with some for doll quilts.

You are right! Kids just grow soooo fast. Anyway,I don't often buy new clothes for my kids and if i do, I usually buy good quality ones coz they always last long which enables us to save money than buying those cheap ones which are easily damaged after several washings and of course they are always oversized.I actually bought several clothes for my son when he was one and now that he's three, he still can wear them! And they still look great! Some of his clothing like his baby clothes also went to his younger sister whom I didn't expect to come coz i thought I wouldn't have another angel.She's so adorable. Right now, I am keeping all her small stuffs in a box and will give them to her girl cuz next month. I don't know if this sounds a good idea to you but i tried making a pillow out of my kids' old clothes ( I chose the cute ones! ) so they will see them as they grow. Like for the small baby shirt, I sewed both sleeves and the collar then later stuff it. For me it's a nice way to remember my kids when they're still babies.

hello ifa, my son has three years old and i buy him clothes every six months, sometime even sooner, have a great time
