OK we all know that you can buy many different style cell phones at Wal-Mart and that they are coming out with many different Cell Phones. Well they have this one cell phone called straight talk that you pay 45.00 a month and it is unlimited everything. Well they have about 10 different style cell phones to pick from. Well my hubby and I are going to get one when we get the tax return. Now this is where everyone else comes in at. Have any of you bought this kind of cell phone? If so what is your experience with the straight talk? I want to try to get all the info that is needed before we go out and buy the cell phone. The straight talk also has unlimited web access. So if you have this type of phone or know anyone that has one please do tell me what you think of the straight talk. Happy Mylotting

Is this a contract phone or is it a pay as you go? My husband and I both need a cell phone because we are currently without one. Things have been so tight lately that we had to go give up Verizon. Verizon was good, but it was getting expensive. The company would not work with my husband and I which is why we had to give them up.

Hello, I will say that my hubby and I had Verizon too and I will agree with you there it was expensive for the both of us. Then we tried Virgin moble and that was even worst. But back to your question though it is pay as you go and it is for each phone. Plus they have a section called Only What You Need which gives you 1000 texts and 1000 minutes a month per phone for only 30.00 dollars each. So either way I think both plans are really great. I hope that this all helps you out on making your choice. Happy Mylotting

In fact with the pre-paid and contrat ones through verizon say that you can get reception everywhere well that too is a lie. Um in fact there is a website on the straight talk. It is www.straighttalk.com Well I hope that this will help you out with making a decision on what is better for you. Happy Mylotting

Thank you seppy for the advice. I was disappointed in Verizon because while they claim that they are fair to everyone that was not the case for my husband and I. All they care about is money and ripping off their customers. Thank you for also sharing that the pre-paid Verizon phone is not any better.

Hello, well I do not know much about other countries dollars/money. But I would say that if that was the price in the US then it would be cheap for us. But again I am not sure what the living prices are for the different countries, but it sounds like that you might be paying the perfect price for the phone. Happy Mylotting

There isn't enough information on it for me to want to go out and switch providers again. They say the price is that/month, but is it for one line or two? What about sir charges taxes and fees? Like for me my county has a fee to use cell phones, as does my city, and of course state taxes plus the 911 fee. So the taxes and fees usually make the bill ten or more higher then advertized. For example, I have an unlimited talk plan for 90/month, plus 11.98 for phone insurance, plus 15 for texting on one of my two lines. That comes out to be about 115/120 give or take. with taxes my final total (for two lines) is 138.68/month. What I don't like about those types of adds/phones they leave out details about what people might want/need. They tell you what you want to hear to hook you end, but you should read the fine print before buying.

Hello, after reading all that you explained about your phone, I have to say that is way to high for my pocket. The straight talk is very affordable and it is 45.00 per phone and it's unlimited minutes, texting and net. Plus that includes the free 911 part and all the other stuff that most other phones have. Another thing the straight talk has is free 411 (information). Another thing that is great is that the tax is really cheap for it too. There is no sir charges what so ever for this phone. For the phones, well some of them are free and some cost as little as 129.00. The one we are going for is the slider which is only 99.99 each phone which is a one time fee. In fact they have a website so ther for they have more info on the sercices and phones. Well I wish you luck on your cell phone needs. Happy Mylotting

My boyfriend has it. It's not a bad deal. The only issue is that text messages take longer to load than most, and for pictures you have to wait 3 minutes to view them. It can be a pain in the butt if your always getting picture messages, but overall it is a reliable phone. My boyfriend's has walkie- talkie, that works great, a chat room that is already installed in the phone, and overall good reception from my standpoint.

Hello, I appericiate the response, well when it comes to texting it can get annoying when it takes awhile to get to someone, but I figure that for 45.00 a month it must be a really great deal. As for picture texting I have no clue on how to do those. I would love the walkie-talkie one, that sounds so awesome. Well hearing you say that it has good reception just won me over. I have went through phones so much trying to find one that has great reception. You have helped me out a lot for info on this phone. Happy Mylotting
