i am thinking on how many mylotters here are wiling to pay computer technical support or you would wish to figure things yourselves?

i am working with a technical support company of course there is a payment for the service...though our website talks about the fee many of our callers expect the services for free..

why is that?

I am not sure why anyone would think it was free if the services are stated to be paid for, maybe it is the ignorance or over-looking in some people. But, I know for sure that I would NEVER pay for technical support, I get Google free. I can always go to google and type in my question/problem and find thousands of pages of help articles and forums I can refer to that will assist in my problem. Technical support never really helps me because anytime I talk on the phone with people, they ask stupid questions and act like I am the dumb one. [nothing against anyone who does technical support, this is just my experience] I would rather surf the internet for the answer, and if I find a page and I do not like the answer they are giving, I just hit the little "X" at the top right and keep on about my search.

yeah that is the most common one..the prob on this is after all the googling (hehehe) and the computer messed up i hear people crying on the phone pleading to have their computer back on..

googling is best for light problems but if its something to do with deeper configuration i do seek for technical support..good thing i dont need to pay for it coz i work with em...hehehhee

thanks for the reply girl

I don't pay for technical support because I always find the answers to my questions on the internet. I just post my problem some place, and after a few days or just hours I get some decent answers.
