Do you think it would be fun to plan parties for people for a fee? You could develop themes for the party, chose the music, decorate if needed. Depending on the budget, have interesting food choices. Does this sound like something you could enjoy doing? Share your thoughts.

..Hi there lifeafterdeath09, I have had small parties for family members, but nothing on a large scale. I have also cooked dinners to raise money at my church, along with another person, which was taxing. If I were to consider being a party planner, I would have to start out on a small scale and grow. I think it would be fun as long as you didn't exceed your budget and the people showed up and had a good time. Thanks for stopping by, take care.

For my sounds fun , but it seems to by tough too. You need to have a flexible style wich can by applied to diffrent needs and situations so it can bu complicated...

...Hi gusto84, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy yourself. Party planning sounds like a lot of fun, but the details are the vital thing. You do have to be very organized, so that things are done in order. You are completely right that you also have to be flexible, so that you can improvise if neccessary. I think it would be a fun job. Thanks so much for your response. Take it easy.

i have planned a number of parties for work and have enjoyed it and have gotten a great number of positive comments in doing so. so to that end, this is something that i would really enjoy doing as a career choice.

...Hi cher, It sounds as though your experience gives you some expertise on a limited scale, that could very well help you, if you decided to do this. I think I would like to try it just to see how I would fare. I think it would be fun to plan, enact and see the result. Parties are fun, but there might be a snag or two that would have to be handled as with any event. You just have to have Plan B as my sister says, to fall back on. Thanks for your response, take care.

It sounds fun... but to be honest I don't think I'd be able to handle it well. I like being creative and doing new things but I'm not too good with budgeting and stuff. It would definitely be worth a try though (:

...Hi there Iram786, It does sound like fun, because we are talking about parties, which means fun when you hear the word. But the nitty gritty of putting it all together and having it work well is probably another story. It takes some experience with knowing what the estimated costs are for the number of people who are involved. So trial and error will be a part of the learning process if one were to do this. I would like to try it for a while to see how it worked out. Thanks for your response, take it easy.

My sister used to be an event planner. She was responsible for doing the items you have listed above and she liked it alot. Only thing was that it was very stressful. She would be responsible for holding events/shows and parties for 500 people or more. You have to be super creative to pull this off so I would say that this would not be the job for me.

...Hi sleeplylittlerose, On the surface it does sound like a fun job. But things have to be timed, certain things have to fall into place, the people have to show up. The food has to be tasty, and so on. But I think I would like to try it for a while, just to see how it would go. I think you also have to like, well not like, but have the ability to thrive and perform under pressure, that's not too easy. Thanks for your response, take it easy.
