| | Oh dear! I wouldn't like to be his neighbours on his first school day when he "kicks off!" That's what happens when parents give in to their kids (not like I'm an expert or anything) I don't even have any lol. | | | |

| | i dont think you need to be upset, but next time check his bag if he needs to sleep pover again. for you can check if he brough something again that will make him sleep late. playing playstation in their own home... im sure is restricted also and has curfew so i guess he only did that there. why not ask his mom and that so his mom is also aware of what his son did. | | | | | | |

| | I wouldn't take offense, it's actually quite funny. The poor kid was probably bored and it obviously helped him sleep so I wouldn't be too concerned. I'd probably mention it to his family though and see if they knew about it or have any ideas as to why he decided it would be a good idea to play at your house. | | | | | | |

| | LOL..it is kind of funny. Rude too but he either does that while he's at home on the weekend or he's taking advantage of the chance to get to. I remember being little and my cousin having the latest gaming stuff and since I didn't have it at home..i played it as long as I could while I had the chance..lol..He was living it up at your house huh? Take care. | | | | | | |

| | To me this sounds like a normal child as i have 6 children and at least two of them do not go to sleep at the right time as well as they are awake half the night.Even if another child was to stay here that child would also be awake and if there was a games console for them to play on then the child would no matter what.I think there is no need to think the child is rude or for you to be angry.I am sure that if your child was to stay at a friends house they would have also been awake until early hours of the morning as well. | | | | | | |

| | So I'm gathering he is about the same age as your daughter. So with that I don't think its funny I think it was quite rude of him especially leaving the equipment on all night. These kids today have no regard for others and no manners at all. That tells me his parents have not taught him how to act at other people houses. | | | | | | |

| | It is rude but being a kid he can get away with it and it is easier to see the amusing side! This is the reason I feel reluctant to have a Playstation in the house although my husband has mentioned getting one often ‘for our daughter’ yeah...Sure! One of my friends barely sees her husband because he is almost always glued to the thing! As far as your young friend goes, I would mention it to his parents but I would not be too upset about it, he obviously knows what he’s doing to have everything set up like he did and let’s face it there are many adults out there asleep on their Playstation as we speak! | | | | | | |

| | It's good to have rules with it, that's for sure. My sister has a Wii and my daughter is begging for one, I am tempted because it's great fun, we've been dancing, singing, playing tennis, bowling...You name it, when we've visited and the whole family loves it so we may get that instead of a PlayStation when we can afford it! Looks like the poor kid was not being rude at all, of well, he would have got away with it anyway, I think... | | | |

| | Do you know when I was that age I would never have had the audacity to set up someone elses playstation and play on it till I dropped off without there permission. Well actually playstations weren't around when I was that age, although the old Atari games systems were, but likewise I wouldn't have just watched TV either without them saying it was okay first. I suppose it's just a sign of the times where children no longer are taught to respect other people's possession or behave properly when staying over, or should I say some children are not taught these basic manners. I don't blame you for feeling upset and I hope you mentioned the childs inappropriate behaviour to their parent when they picked them up and embarassed him in the process. | | | | | | |

| | I read what you said your wife did for the kid, that's so sweet of her to do!! I know a lot of times when I was at other peoples' houses, I was definitely scared. Hell, I'm 22, almost 23 now, and in my own home, I'm still a little frightened at night, but nobody ever stopped me when I was crying. Nobody ever gave me anything to calm down. They just said 'You're just hearing the cats, the dogs, the ferrets.', 'It was just the wind.' Anyways, that was sweet of your wife to do. Although, had this been the actual situation, I think it may have been rude if a child were to actually do it in a strangers' house without asking. To do it at home, from what I've seen, is just normal behavior. I've done it at home (PlayStation is the only thing I can play though cause I have Epilepsy but certain PlayStation games don't have the same patterns as say Nintendo does so it doesn't invoke any seizures), my stepbrother has, my cousins have...I don't know any teenage kid who hasn't stayed up late playing video games at least once, regardless of what the big grown-ups think! However, like I said, if it were to actually happen at a strangers house without asking, then yes, it would have been rude. | | | | | | |

| | Don't worry, we're all human. We all make miskates. (Joke) I have stayed up all night playing those mystery games where you have to find out all the extra clues...it kills me not to know whodunnit Yeah, when I was little, Nintendo was one thing I played A LOT, until I was diagnosed with Epilepsy and literally had a controller ripped out of my hand. I was very young when it happened. I remember my biological fathers' mother coming in a room where I was playing Nintendo and she took the controller away and said "Her official diagnosis is Epilepsy. She can't play this and she has to take pills." Years later when PlayStation came out, my biological father made a big deal about how the patterns are different and okay for someone with Epilepsy to play. However, it's not well-advertised that it is alright for us, which is a shame, because it's true that we're okay. Although, there's still certain games on PlayStations that probably are not okay to watch. If the patterns, colors, and flashing are similar to things like Mario, then it's a no-go, but if the animation is say, more like Tony Hawk, I'd be alright because the flashing is minimal. Watching Nintendo games is like putting someone like me in front of a strobe light, watching PlayStation does nothing. I'm thankful for that. That way, I can still play video games. I have not been defeated. Bwahaha. [em]thumbsup[/em] | | | |
