| |  I'm a PHP programmer and I work as a freelancer. Maybe we can collaborate on some projects. I can do design but now at a very high level, because I like programming more.
I'm working on getafreelancer.com
There are other sites too, but I think this site is the best one because:
-they have a very good structure and you can find things very easy
-you get the best prices here
There are a few things that will be useful to know when you start.
You will get ratings after you finish a project. So when starting you don't have any reviews about your work and might be harder to start.
You should first try to bid for the trial projects. Here you can bid only if you don't have more than 4 reviews, so you'll have more chances.
When biding keep this in mind:
-not always the lower bid wins
-read the description of the project and be sure you can complete the project
-when bidding ad +1 day to your estimated time, you never know what complications might appear
-write a small description telling the buyer that you can do his job
-send a PM with more details about what you are going to provide for his job and with examples of your work
-if you have a portfolio you will have an advantage because you can show the buyer some examples of what you can do
The beginning it's harder. After you get some reviews, and if you're really good at what you're doing then you'll start winning a lot of projects.
