Thoughts on the first few weeks of the Hogan era of TNA. | | | | So there have been a few shows of the new era of TNA with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. Well, there are people who are talking, I'll give them that. However, is it for all of the right reasons? There are both good and bad things about this new era of TNA that I would like talk about. Getting rid of the six sided ring, well, I'm not quite sure if I am a big fan of this. Its funny, I was watching wrestling for years with a four sided ring in many different promotions. When I first saw it in TNA, it was a culture shock. Now, its hard to really imagine TNA without it. It just looks odd to see them competing in a four sided ring. While, the Impact Zone fans can be a rowdy bunch(to put it rather nicely), I think the way Hogan and Bischoff got rid of the ring was a bit over the top. They had to address it obviously, but it was just the way they addressed it. AJ Styles as the new Nature Boy...hmm, I'm going to wait and see on this one. Styles is one of the best wrestlers in the world, so he has that in common with Ric Flair. However, I don't think he has the personality to be the Nature Boy. Still, it should be interesting where this goes. AJ has a heel before never really lit my world on fire, the guy just seems like such a natural babyface. The Nasty Boys and Orlando Jordan, not really such a big fan of these men being a part of a major wrestling promotion in 2010. Especially a guy like Jordan over a talented young superstar like D'Angelo Dinero. And Sean Morely beating Daniels? I liked Val Venis as much as the next person, but seriously now. On the bright side, the shows are rather cohesive and nicely put together, even if some of the content on it is less than pleasing. Before, the shows were mish-mash and often confusing. Now everything is a bit better, although there are still some kinks to work out. I never said TNA did not have the tools to succeed. Its exactly how they used them was the problem. | | | | | | | | | | 1 SneakyGolf Trick 4 Bad Golfers Wanted To Test Trick To Add 30+ Yards To Drives! GolfFuel.com

| | I'm not a big fan of getting rid of the six sided ring also. It was something specific for TNA. Also, even if I was happy to see again some of the wrestlers from my youth, I think that enough is enough now. They can't keep it up anymore. AJ Styles as the next Nature Boy??? Is this a joke??? Ric Flair was a natural heel, AJ is a joke as a heel. There are wrestlers that are good as babyfaces, wrestlers that are good as heels and very few wrestlers that are good as both. In the past I have to say that Hogan, Flair, Nash, Angle, Sting were great in both roles. AJ is not one of these wrestlers. I don't like that old wrestlers came out and start beating the new wave. It's more then likely that this is for a storyline, that the experience beat the youth, but in a few months the youth will become experienced due to their matches against the old wave of wrestlers. This could work but still, as you also said, Orlando Jordan to beat D'Angelo Dinero?? And Sean Morley to beat Daniels? Come on!!! | | | | | | | megamatt (7930)

| | There was a reason why Ricky Steamboat was never turned heel. He could never be believable as it. His style was all wrong and he came across as a nice guy. It would be a stupid idea. AJ Styles as a heel is the same way. He just could never be believable as a heel. I mean, Ric Flair could be a heel or a face. Hulk Hogan could be a heel or a face. Angle could be a heel or a face. In WWE, CM Punk could pull off both roles, Triple H as well to a certain extent. Shawn Michaels is another one, the Undertaker, the list goes on and on. Back in the day, the Rock could be that. Roddy Piper as well. Still there are some people like an AJ Styles, like a Ricky Steamboat, like a Jeff Hardy, like a Rey Mysterio, that are just natural babyfaces. They could never pull it off being a heel. Randy Orton would be the polar opposite. I never bought Orton as a babyface during that run he had in 2004-2005. Edge is another one like this, a good natural heel. Jericho could kind of pull of being a babyface, but I think is really good stuff has been a heel in WCW and then later on in WWE with his latest work. Rick Rude would be another one that was a natural heel back in the day. Plus in TNA, there are far better choices for the next Nature Boy. Desmond Wolfe or D'Angelo Dinero would be far better choices for instance. I mean, AJ Styles, the Christian family man as the new Nature Boy? That just seems rather wrong and ill fitting as a character. The best characters in wrestling have had some portion of the person's real life persona driving it. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated. Have a nice day. | | | | | | | 1 SneakyGolf Trick 4 Bad Golfers Wanted To Test Trick To Add 30+ Yards To Drives! GolfFuel.com | add comment | | | |

| | I like it simply because it feels like Pro Wrestling once again. Those who have grown with WWE would have a hard time accepting Hogan's version of wrestling but then again WWE and TNA are different. TNA = Pro Wrestling while WWE = Sports Entertainment. | | | | | | | | | | The Future of TV Watch 3500+ channels today. Digital TV on PC. | | I think the whole Hogan Bischoff thing is just another storyline. Maybe they will bring back the six sides? personally the ring doesnt worry me as much. On the other hand the whole nasty boys and scott hall getting screen time is getting annoying. The whole atmosphere of the X-division isn't there anymore. its only being a few weeks so, I cant judge. | | | | | | | | | | JennsReviews A for Fun Blog about RealityTV shows and advice sharing on real life. jennsreviews.com | add comment | | | |

| | While I've been a WWE fan pretty much my whole life, I'm rooting for TNA because above all else, I'm a pro wrestling fan. I think Hogan and Bischoff have done some good things, like get rid of the six sided ring. What I don't like is the fact that all the ex-WWE stars are getting all the T.V. time. Beer Money, MCMG, Daniels, these guys are the reason TNA is relevant and they can't get any decent T.V. time. Samoa Joe is challenging for the TNA World Title this Sunday but he was barley featured on T.V. leading up to the PPV. Don't get me wrong, guys like Anderson and The Pope deserve to be in the mix but Orlando Jordan and the fat, out of shape Nasty Boys, gimmie a break. | | | | | | | | | | What Is Mutual Fund Looking For What Is Mutual Fund?
