Hiccup, you are right. This is a multi cultural society. Australia is definitely one of the most multi cultural countries in the world! There has been a lot of negative stuff in the press, both here and in India and for this I blame the media. Negative news sells, it does not matter to the media if it portrays some one or a country as being what they are not!

I thought that Melbourne had the second largest Greek community of any city behind only Athens itself! Did another city overtake Melbourne for that title?

Hopefully Warney can do some good. He may have been controversial over the years, but I believe that his heart is in the right place when it comes to matters like this!

We went to 3rd (Melbourne), I heard this last year, I use to say 2nd, but I had to adjust, they even gave figures to make it accountable.

But no matter what, how would it be if say in England or Germany or Vietnam we could boast that we had the third largest city there of Australians, WOW thats big.

It would not surprise me if there were more Aussies living in London than some of our smaller cities.

I would like to see the figures on the amount of New Zealanders living here. I know that there are not so many of them in Melbourne, but they are everywhere up here and I think Sydney has a lot of them too. A large amount of our friends here are Kiwis! I would not be surprised if there were more New Zealanders over here than in their biggest city, Auckland!

I agree that it is good for our two counties. Warney is a true ambassador to not only cricket, but also relations between Australia and countries such as India and the other cricketing nations. Hopefully the media can start to show some of the positive things that Indian students get out of studying in Australia and not just the bad stuff!

Yes, I think that he may be able to do some good here with this matter. Maybe if it works, he may be knighted just like Ian Botham!

You're very welcome! You are a healthy person, right? I've been having problems in that area (I won't bore you with it all because it's in previous discussions) it's just that all healthy foods here in the UK are so expensive..so going down the "convenience food" route is the cheaper option. I don't mean TV dinners, I'm not that bad...but I'm so FUSSY! I'd love to go vegetarian but what do they eat to get their iron? Spinach probably! Yuch! Any ideas?

Yep, leafy greens such as spinach are great for iron. You can grow your own quite easily even if you do not have a backyard, so the cost is kept down. It is sad that it is easier and cheaper to eat badly. It is the same here too.

But like I was saying, growing your own produce can be easy. There is some awesome You Tube videos teaching these things, if you do not have space, you can grow in small boxes on balconies or steps, window sills, etc.

The best way to get leafy greens into yourself is through Green Smoothies. They sound horrible, but once you get into them, you can get creative and make some really delicious and nutritious meals. Green Smoothies are made by blending leafy greens with fruit such as bananas and mango, adding frozen berries, honey or dates to sweeten. I make really basic ones sometimes, other times I put loads of different ingredients in. I have one of these smoothies most days! YUM

I knew you were healthy lol! I shall tell you about the ONLY vegetables I like to eat. Firstly, potatoes (either boiled or mashed), carrots and frozen Bird's Eye garden peas...that's it! Oh, and ONLY Heinz Baked Beans, no other brand! I can use onion as a flavouring but if I SEE any onion in my food I take it all out again, that's how bad I am! I can eat fish, chicken, pork, lamb and beef but it's obvious I'm not eating enough of the latter due to the severe lack of iron in my diet. I used to eat apples all the time but I can't stand the taste of them now, especially the ones from abroad. I ate 3 apples a day when I was younger. Loved 'em! Rumour has it that the shop-bought smoothies over here are full of SUGAR which kinda defeats the object lol!

Yeah, you have to make your own smoothies, then you know what you are getting!
