Recently I was told I needed to detox so as much as dislike this process I have begun if you detox what is your preferd method?

Hello! I have never tried detoxing, but am planning to this year. I'll probably go for the most natural possible way. I've read about detoxing supplements and stuff, but the simplest way and the cheapest is to to go on a fruit diet for a week long. it could be dangerous if done for more than a week or so, as it could deplete the body of its needed nutrients. water therapy also helps and is a natural way of detoxifying.

I do juice fasting alot where you juice everything fruits and veggies to let your body rest I really like this method and of course water water water

I love to detox....and it's the supplements I use. The Natures Sunshine company has a box of packets called Tiao He Cleanse. It is really affective and is mild so the symptoms are not bad at all.

My preferred method of detoxing is not to!thumbupI don't want a bunch of chemical stuff in my body to "clean me out" right! I will fast occasionally to reset everything, that's pretty much detoxing isn't it?

Detoxing is not always chemical. I use Chinese herbs.

Definatly fasting lets your body detox I have never done a chemical detox so I agree with you I have done Ion cleansing and steam baths Sweating out the toxins and occasionaly also us chinese herbs Thanks for the response

Why do we need to detox our body? I have read somewhere that if you are feeling always tired, your energy level is low, and you feel exhausted, you're feeling heavy, then, it's time for you to detox your body for a healthier and lighter you. At these present times, when most of the foods that we eat are over-processed and overcooked, not to mention that most of us are coffee drinkers, sweets or chocolate eaters, alcoholics, chain smokers, we should find time to detoxify at least once every year. Normally, to detox our body, we usually do fruits and vegetable diet for a week, water therapy or drink lots of herbal teas. Last Sunday, in one of a local morning TV show here in our country, a new kind of juice is being featured. It says that this red juice (it's red in color) is a combination of 36 natural fruits and vegetables' extracts designed to clean the colon, thereby eliminating the toxins and wastes that has been accumulated in our colon over the years. This juice is made locally and it's starting to be distributed worldwide. It is also noted that detoxification can help people with health problems like, diabetes, hypertension, overweight problems, skin problems, cholesterol and constipation. I guess, we should all detoxify.

I do not detox as such but undergo more of a cleansing diet which for a set period of time I follow a vegan diet but also restrict things like sugar, refined carbs, vegetable oils, wheat, chocolate, cakes etc and drink alot of cleansing herbals teas like peppermint, chamomile, dandelion, lemon and ginger, detox combination and I also do not consume anything with caffeine or alcohol.

Dring this time i drink alot of vegetable/fruit juices like carrot, apple, paer and strawberry or carrot, apple, lemon and ginger.

I cook with fresh herbs or dried herbs that have no salt or preservaties, MSG etc and only use sea salt if I make something that I can not eat without salt but general if you use enough herbs you don't need alot of the sea salt.

I also drink plenty of water.

flowerpeople I will bet your doctor did not tell you that. detox is very b ad for your system as it jolts the hell out of it with harsh chemicals and sends false messages to your body and colon that you have diarrhea. no I not put crap in my body.I maintain good colon health by eating fruits and veggies that contain fiber and drinking plenty of water, also taking a fiber supplement and getting exercise and sleep. abusing ones body is not a smart thing to do and this detox crap is just abuse and makes the seller of the products extra rich. the seller does not care that this is bad for your health, he or she just wants the big money they make. stay away from that stuff.angryangrythumbdown
