Actually theres no comparison if you just look at it, when we are talking bout clleges the main thing bout them is that they teach us to be proffesionals, while in a call center its a career that we take. After college we can always choose the kind of career that we want, after school then you can choose what kind of career you want to go to.But if you really dont want to finish your studies then you can always choose to work in a call center instead

of course being a student is different in working as if we work in call center it means that we are earning, though call center job is not forever, once the account pull out from that company then its also means the termination of the employee unless the employee have good rating as they can transfer them to another account but for those unlucky then better find new one. if we have our degree then theres a possibility that we can still find job to other field and not just through call center alone but if you choose to just work in callcenter than study then what happened if the account will close. all call center company have this kind of situation, only lucky person who have good rating or good standing remain in the company to be transferred to another account, but if you can see those, they keep on applying in other call center company coz the account was already closed, or they dont have good rating thats why the company kicked them.

Weird comparison. They're totally different for me. =) I don't think they have the same atmosphere. Call centers are usually boring and tiresome because of the routine and the schedule. It's not as rewarding as college, where you learn a lot of things, meet people of different ages and backgrounds, and get exposed to a lot of other exciting experiences. In call centers you're stuck on your seat, answering calls and complaints.

depends on your perspective. i'd say in some way being in a call center can be the same as being in college. it would be affected by the company and by the people your work with and also the program or account you are in. there are things you did not learn in college that you learn in centers. you gotta to meet also different type of people of different personality, from different country. working in a call center is a routine, which can be same as in college for you also follow a routine. but if you enjoy doing your job as a call center agent, since it also offers great pay, then you wouldn't find any problem doing so.
