So my aunt and uncle have purchased a house and i went last Thursday to clean it up and what not for them as they said they would pay me so i went over there and made a few extra bucks as it is gone now in groceries. My uncle called me today and asked me to take down some wallpaper that is over there. I have no idea on what i am doing. What are you suggestions or ideas on taking down wall paper? I know you can apply water to it and it comes off ( maybe) some one told me to spray liquid fabric softener on it and that would help but what do you suggest i use? I have some scrappers out and ready to go but what is the best way?
Try this site. I do not know if My Lot will let the following site link stay up...as they do not like any links posted. But I figured it is worth a try to help someone out. www.doityourself.com/stry/howtoremovewallpaper I hope this helps, Bryan
How long has the wallpaper been there? I know that the house my husband and I bought almost 2 years ago is 26 years old amd the wallpaper is old. I went into Lowes Hardware store and they tolds me that the best thing to do to remove the wallpaper was to buy Primer and paint it over the wallpaper. If you remove wallpaper that is extremely old it can hurt the walls as well as cause more trouble.
