perfectionist, backseat driver and obsessive. I've been called that a few times. But I never get hurt. I have some things that I really need to know every little detail about because I'm afraid of the consequences if I don't get it right.
I do have an aversion to being too controlling about trivial things. I wonder what people like most having control of. Money? relationship? Job? Vases and what nots?
There must be something that freaks us out if everything is amiss about it.
For me its mostly about a job. I'm quite specific and I can't abide it if not everyone is on the same page. It doesn't matter if you disagree, just voice it out so that can be addressed in the process of things.

Well I prefer to do everything with my heart totally in it whether it be cooking or teaching my child or buying vegetables. I am very clear in my mind what I am to do and how I am to do it. That way I enjoy the task I am doing. even after travelling for 5-6 hours, on reaching home if my husband asks for home cooked food, I am able to oblige him and serve well cooked meal within 20-30 minutes only as I do even my cooking with planning. So u can say in a way I am a perfectionist.

I'm amazed at how you could still have the energy and enthusiasm to cook even after traveling for long hours! That is really something. I agree on planning ahead and having back up plans. It never fails me and I can still be flexible and adapt if needed.

For me, I have to know what I'm getting into, the situation. For example, if my family is taking me somewhere, and I don't know where were going, I would ask under they tell me, and if they don't I would get really frustrated and mad. I like to know the situation before putting myself into the game, if you know what I mean ^_^.

I get you. But sometimes I control myself with that specially during special occasions. I'd hate to disappoint my family and friends if their thinking of surprises. I'm afraid some of my employers in my writing jobs get tired of me because I ask too many questions before I start a project.
I'm even surprised that some of them hire me again.

I just laugh when I notice someone slowly get annoyed at me. Then I'd stop. Forget that I'm stopping, and start all over again. harhar.
