I don't often read magazines, not because I don't like them but because I rarely have the time. An alumni from cooking school that I've become very good friends with gave me a subscription to the Food Network Magazine for Christmas and I have now received my second issue. (Its printed 6 times per year) If you are a "foodie" I highly recommend this mag. It is definately collectable and offers great recipes, in fact its almost like having a cookbook. It is done in high quality gloss which is nice because if you're anything like me...a very messy cook,,the pages can be wiped off if you get stuff on them while cooking. There are lots of great interviews with world class chefs as well as all the chefs we know and love from the network. Its not loaded with advertisements, which is a treat and it has pull out mini cookbooks too. This month it is for pizzas, last month it was 50 ways to make mashed potatoes..lots of different, interesting recipes! I'm really impressed with this mag, (obviously!) and recommend it to all you cooks out there, novice or advanced. I dont think you would be dissapointed..No, they're not paying me to say all this!!

I agree, it's a great magazine. I enjoy the articles and the recipes, there's something to learn in each issue. My mom is a food magazine addict (really, it's a problem!) and another good one, that I borrow from her is called Taste of Home. It isn't as "gourmet" as FNM but it is loaded with great recipes for everyday cooking.

Hi brynnesmom..I too get Taste of Home..I didnt order it but he people who owned this house before us did and dispite my calls to them to have address changed for all their mail, I continue to get it..So, if its going to keep coming, I'll take it!! I have not yet read one of them..I have about the last 5 issues piled up here. One of these days I'm going to get caught up reading. When? not sure but they are there for me when that day comes!! Thanks for your thoughts..Happy Cooking!!
