If someone cheats on their spouse, should they tell them?

Or is it better, that they never find out. I think that when people confess to this type of behaviour, they only tell to make themselves feel better ie ease their Guilt. So in my opin ion it is selfish to admit to cheating. What do you think, on this controversial subject.

This kind of guilt would get the best of me. i would not be able to live with myself and look my spouse in the eye everyday if i had cheated. there were be consequences i would rather not endure, but i would have to confess what i did. it would be the only way for me to move on.

You know that saying about killing the messenger?Well if you tell the person without proof they might not believe you and just think you are the 3rd person or are just trying to break up their family. So get some proof before you show the body of evidence, like take a snap on your phone or something.

My personal opinion is that if you are cheating on your spouse that means that your love for your spouse is over. It is better to leave the person then stay with your spouse cheat them and cheat yourselves also in the bargain. The partner should think how they would feel if their spouse did the same with them. You feel guilty only if you have done something wrong so it is better to admit it.
