Forget the Lyrics

After so many seasons of American Idol, you would think contestants would know that one of Simon's pet peeves is forgetting the lyrics. Yet, as many people saw during Hollywood Week, that did not stop a few performers forgetting the words on stage. I just wonder why would you pick a song you can't remember completely. After the stress and sleep deprivation, you would think that they would pick songs that they know or can easily remember and just sell it. What do you think?

We all react to stress differently. Some people blank out. Maybe more practice or doing a song they already knew would help, true. But when it's group day and the group wants to do some other song and you're outnumbered, what then? Hopefully the ones that forgot their lyrics weren't the strongest singers anyway...

hi vjenkins86!
haha! the hollywood week must be so stressful to all contenders. But I guess they can only choose songs based on the given list. Which means they can't choose any song they like, it must be on the list.
That's why some totally forgot the lyrics because they memorized it on the spot or the night before the performance.
Hihi! Imagine that!? But some are really funny!
