Cleveland Cavaliers Get Antawn Jamison Should We Give Them The Title Now? | | | | If this was a game of chess, the Cavaliers would have the rest of the NBA in check. They pulled off a major trade getting Antawn Jamison, the Cav's give up, Ilgauskas, Thornton, and Skinner plus their first round pick. This is a great deal for Cleveland especially if Washington buys out Ilgauskas contract which would allow the center to resign with Cleveland. The next move is the Boston Celtics, they need to do something to keep up with the Cav's. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | I agree. Jamison is a key acquisition like Gasol to the Lakers. This solidifies Cleveland's offense... The only thing now is for Cleveland to establish Chemistry in time for the playoffs. They lost Z but gained Jamison. I'd say this a great trade for Cleveland and Washington who are getting rid of salary. | | | | | | | monngnr (107)

| | They still need a backup center. What happens if shaq fouls out in a game against a western powerhouse? If shaq is in foul trouble against teams with centers like D12, KG, Gasol who would match up against them? At least Z even in his not so prime times can make a decent effort. I know he's not as good as he was, but he still has something to offer. Jamison is a good acquisition, not better than ama're who can play both forward and center positions but good enough. | | | | vmenard (531)

| | They are most likely getting Ilgauskas back after 30 days anyway, which really makes this trade one sided. | | | | | | | Boston Celtics Hats Buy Boston Celtics Hats Here! The Boston Celtics Fan Shop. Celtics.Fanatics.com | add comment | | | |

| | With the acquisition of Antawn Jamison from the trade makes the Cleveland Cavaliers even more stronger and their dream of finally snaring a championship crown for the town is just a matter of playing good basketball. Even though they added another superstar to their roster, they have to beat those other contenders in the East and the one from the West. They have to get their acts together, team chemistry is one of the major factors in winning a championship. | | | | | | | vmenard (531)

| | Everyone is talking about wheter James stays in Cleveland or not. If the Cav's do when a championship, does James leave? | | | | boybato (2210)

| | Win a title or not, what could prompt James to stay in or leave Cleveland is the quality of roster the Cavaliers have. If the Cavaliers will have a roster at the end of the season that is enough to make a serious run for the 2010-11 NBA season, then it's most likely that James will stay. Antawn Jamison is already a big piece and the thing that the Cavaliers should focus on in the offseason (aside from James' re-signing) is the acquisition of a good big man. Shaquille O'Neal might be retiring at the end of the season and the Cavaliers should find someone to compensate Shaq's loss. JJ Hickson is already locked at the power forward position as he's been a revelation for the Cavaliers this season so far. With James, Maurice Williams, Jamison, and Hickson, the Cavaliers look good. If they can tab a good center maybe out of the free agency, trade, or the draft, I could say James will really stay. Make LeBron happy in Cleveland, that's the key. | | | | | | | La Lakers Ticket Deals Huge Discounts On All LA Lakers Tickets. Up To 60% Savings Online! | | Not yet, I won't count the Orlando Magic out yet in the East. Though the Cavaliers are starting to break away from the rest of the Eastern Conference teams in the standings, the playoffs is something to be seen. I could remember back in the 2009 NBA playoffs where the Cavaliers and Magic met in the East Finals and it was predicted to be a very close series. The result? Orlando won 4-1 and if not for LeBron James' miracle shot at game 2, the Magic would have swept the series. Antawn Jamison makes the Cavaliers a much deeper and deadlier team but other teams are as strong as well. Orlando's gt Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, Jameer Nelson, Mickael Pietrus, Matt Barnes, and Jason Williams to name a few to lead the deepest team in the East. Boston's still got the big 3 and the surging Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins and veteran forward Rasheed Wallace. Experience is something the Celtics really rely upon come playoffs time. Atlanta and Charlotte are teams to look out for in the playoffs too, they are upset capable teams. In the West, clearly the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers still lead the way. Kobe Bryant is playing another monster season and is getting great support from the rest of the Lakers. Now with Ron Artest in exchange for Trevor Ariza, the Lakers are more formidable than ever. What's so good about the Lakers? With Bryant down for the past few games, other Lakers have stepped up. Shannon Brown just set a new career high in scoring while reliables Artest, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom are delivering well. The Mavericks have become a major player in the West with the acquisition of Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood. With Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, and Shawn Marion already leading the way, Butler and Haywood gives the Mavericks more boost. Butler is a very versatile player while Haywood might seem the last piece Dallas needs in their puzzle for a serious Western Conference contention. Lastly, the Denver Nuggets is having a great season. Carmelo Anthony is having an MVP type of season and Chauncey Billups continues to bring in his game smarts and experience to lead the Nuggets to become among the top in the West. Kenyon Martin, JR Smith, Nene, Chris Andersen, and rookie Ty Lawson also gives the Nuggets the needed boost to stay afloat in the Western Conference. The Nuggets are dubbed to be the team closest to the Lakers and could really give the Lakers a challenge this 2010 playoffs. So Cleveland winning thee crown already? Not yet. There are a lot of teams who could give the Cavaliers a great challenge. It would be great though to see the Lakers and Cavaliers go it up in the finals. First, it's going to be LeBron vs Kobe and second, it's Shaq's first finals appearance against his former team and the team that he led to 3 NBA titles. That would be big, so big. | | | | | | | vmenard (531)

| | You're right, about the competition from the West, I guess I should've clarified the Eastern Conference title. While Orlando and Atlanta, as well as Boston have great teams, I just think the Cav's are slightly better then all of them. Cavs vs Lakers, how many sub-plots could a game have? | | | | boybato (2210)

| | I would love to see Orlando and Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals once again. Cleveland is a lot better team now than last season now that they have Shaq and Jamison. Orlando on the other hand is not a push over either. Though they lost Hedo Turkoglu, they've got Vince Carter in return. I also think that Stan Van Gundy is keeping some "secret" weapons for Orlando in the post season. They're a very deep team and we've not seen a lot of Marcin Gortat and Brandon Bass so far this season. Jason Williams and Matt Barnes are key for the Magic too. Though Cleveland's got LeBron who's the best player so far, the Magic have the better pieces setting aside the stars. | | | | | | | $17 Wholesale Jerseys Shop All NFL/NHL/MLB teams Jerseys,Up 10pcs Free shipping www.olJerseys.com | add comment | | | |
