As in getting around, going places, what is your favourite way of travelling? be it short or long distance? To me, cycling is the best. I love the wind in my face. I can exercise at the same time. It is slightly faster than walking, slower than motor cars. It is environmental friendly too... Haha.. So what about you?

My preferred mode of transport will be walking or even running.. lol =D IF possible, i will run or walk to my work place, and only choosing to take bus when i'm going to town area etc.. lol =D I can walk long distance too, and 45mins walk is considered short for me too..lol =D EVen there's a bus taking me directly to my destination, i will choose to walk, as it's healthy, and save me some cents too.. lol =D I will love to cycle too, but too bad i have got space restriction at home, and thus i cant have a bicycle.. hehe

By car. Because you can stop whenever or wherever you want (toilet or taking picture if you are on vacation). It is quite convinient and comfortable. With AC on, you don't have to worry about the hot wheather. With player, you can listen to your favorite songs during the journey.

Car is a rather comfortable and luxury option. Do you think maintain a car is expensive? Like Petrol, servicing, etc...

wow.. you sure have gotten yourself a good economic car? My boyfriend has gotten himself quite an expensive car, in my country's context. Full tank is about S$65. Servicing is about S$150. It is comfortable but expensive. I agree with the convenience the car can give, but it also give us money burdens. Lucky you!

It depends on what car you are driving. Lucky for me, I have this very economic car. Full tank is about USD10, servicing is about USD30. Its not really a luxury, for me it's more to convinience. You don't have to wait or queue for public transport. You don't have to stop at different station for different destination. Drving yourself gives you the freedom to do whatever you want to do on the way to your desired place.

My favorite way to travel is by train. In the day I can sit in the seat and look out of the window. In the night time I can enjoy sleeping in a comfortable compartment. I have been on trains in European countries, Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and America. I love to noise and the relaxing motion of the train. I can happily travel by train for days without getting bored. It is lovely to get chatting to fellow passengers. Going by train is great for the environment. A few years ago I was very keen on cycling. Now I have a disabled son I am no longer able to go cycling. I wish I had space for a bicycle trailer that would take my toddler son and my baby daughter.

ooh.. I can imagine train rides overseas would be interesting, but not in Singapore. There is nothing much you can see on the train in Singapore as it is underground at times. What about the crowds? Isn't there times where the train rides can get a little too over crowded? Sorry to hear about your son. I hope you can get space for a bicycle trailer soon..

i see... i took the cab too when I am in a hurry! I used to take naps on the bus when I am still schooling. But lesser now, because the journey to my work area always have traffic jam. Not worth it my case. I can only cycle or take a bus when I am meeting my friends.

long distance should be plane of course. LOL well, i like cycling but nowadays it is not really applicable as the pollution level is very high in the city. Cycling means not healthy as well. I would prefer cars for medium distance and walk for short distance.

haha.. yup, one of the long distance way of transport is by air. But i have read somewhere before that backpacking can be fun... Have you tried that before? Is there parks in your country? There are quite a number of parks in my country, so pollution is rather low. I usually cycle in the park.

I love driving. This is probably because I don't exactly obey all the rules of the road... but it's really fun! I sort of have a need for speed.. but I'm still a relatively safe and good driver. I take the bus a lot though because of pollution and high gas prices. I also walk a lot if where I'm going is within a few blocks (or 10 or so, it really depends). I try to have my fun while also being good to the environment.

That is very thoughtful of you! Safe yet breaking the rules, i hope you keep the other road users safe too! If only more drivers take the bus more because of the pollution and high gas prices...

I prefer motorcycles because of it's efficiency in time, gas, and on the road. On a motorcycle, you can get around town faster, avoid traffic and not have trouble parking it. there are downsides though, like the exposure to dust and the risk of being run over in highways, in which survival rate is almost zero percent.

i agree it is efficient in time and petrol and money wise... But it is rather dangerous when driven recklessly! Do be careful on the roads! I have a relative who pass on in a motorbike accident.
