Why do you wear your engagement ring on the fourth finger of the left hand?

Hey fellas!
Here's an interesting fact. Do you know why engagement rings are worn on the fourth finger of the left hand? The reason is that the ancient Greeks maintained that, that finger finger contains the "venoma amoris" or the vein of love that runs straight to the heart. The first recorded wedding rings appeared in Egypt.
According to research the highest month where engagement rings are bought is in December. Gee I guess that the cold winter month makes you fall commit so quickly or either that it makes things romantic. The next month when these rings hit their highs is in June! Summer loving huh lol. So fellas let's do a poll... kindly share what month you got engaged and what month did you get married?

Only a coward people worn on the fourth finger. I think the benefit of wearing a engagement ring is that when you see at ring , it remind you that you are engaged. you are belong to somebody. You can't betrayed him. It's a proof that your are married not only you but others also know, that you are married.

im not aware of it, i really dont care what month as long as im engage lol. i dont even know where to put the engagement ring even the wedding ring. are both of them should be wear in the left hand? or engagement ring only.

my husband gave me the engagement ring in august and we tie the knots on november the same year. it was a very short time to prepare for our wedding but we need to do it because he is working overseas and in any time he will be away for work again. but we are very happy together and very much in love with each other.
