I have decided to buy a new laptop of Dell. Would you please tell me the difference between Dell vostro and inspiron series.
I want to buy one. But when I go through the Dell website. But I came to know two series of Dell laptop. One is Vostro and second is Inspiron. Almost same configuration but prices vary for them. So how and why should I select a series even when the configuration is same.

It depends on what type model of laptop you want. It's kind of hard to tell you the difference because I need to know the exact models. There is not only one type of vostro or inspiron. If you could post the exact models, then I could tell the difference for you. If you want to check yourself here are some guidelines.
1) More RAM = better
2) Better processors in order (highest = top)
i. Intel i7
ii. Intel i5
iii. Intel Quad Core (More ghz is better)
iiii. Intel Duo Core (More ghz is better)
3) More hard drive = better (More RPM = better)
4) Graphics Card (More GB is better)
5) Windows 7 = BEST OPERATING SYSTEM (MAKE SURE IT HAS WINDOWS 7)
