|  Yes, that is right. I have a daughter-in-law now (happy dance). As many of you know, my son served 7 years in the U.S. Army. I am so grateful to all who wrote welcome home notes to him when he would come home on leave and such. But now, I get to share the news with you..........He got married!!!!
He got married on 9/11/2009 in a simple ceremony at the courthouse. The big wedding is this Saturday (2/27/2010). The hustle and bustle that is going on around me is wonderful. My son is home safe and he is so happy, he glows. I love seeing his smile.
As for my new daughter-in-law.........let me introduce "Nikki". She is tall, slender and has beautiful red hair. Guess what??? She smiles all the time too.
Well, at least, you all know now why I have not been posting much for the past week. I will try to post something as often as I can. I do miss you all.

Was it exciting when the kids were getting married?
Was there a lot of food??? We seem to have a lot of food.

| | The cake was red velvet. We had chicken at the rehearsal dinner. Burritos at the reception and truffle at the breakfast brunch. There was stuff shells in there somewhere and bread. Rice, refried beans, etc. Chips and salsa. There was always food around. I ate so much. | | | |

She's in North Carolina and we're here in the UK, but we will see her on Skype - or she may not see her 22nd!! LOL.

When I gained a sister in law - sister, it was so nice to welcome another to the family! Enjoy your time with your son AND daughter!! Make lots of wonderful memories and take lots of pictures!

| |  I have two children, and two children in law. One marriage works really well, one is failing. I did all the food for my daughter's wedding reception, and that was fun. I love the kiddos and my goal is that they each have a partner that is a partner and inspires them to be their very best. I have been fortunate to have two different partners that are very kind and loving. We all want to be loved. Enjoy Nikki and that she is so good for your son.
