Wrestle Mania 7 was an average 'Mania to me but did feature a few good matches. My favorite goes to Macho Man Randy Savage taking on The Ultimate Warrior in a Retirement Match. Like MegaMatt has said, this was Warrior's best match of his career. What was your favorite?

There were some total squash matches at wrestlemania 7. I didnt think the main event with hogan and slaughter was that good either. Anything with Hogan is just so boring because he cant wrestle! Maybe just my opinion. The opening with the rockers was good match and I liked The Nasty Boys vs The Hart Foundation other than that I cant really remember much else form that night.

I think this Mania was rather underrated in retrospect. I think it gets a lot of flack for the tasteless Sgt. Slaughter angle that lead into the show but overall, it was one of the more solid Wrestlemanias. After 3, this one would be my favorite so far. Next year's is far better but getting ahead of myslelf. It goes without saying that Randy Savage against the Ultimate Warrior was the absolute best match of this show. The storyline leading up to, during, and after the match was just fabulous. Little things like the Ultimate Warrior walking to the ring as opposed to running made this match. And Randy Savage was on fire in this match. The best match in the Warrior's career as I said before and perhaps one of the best performances in the career of Savage. In fact, other than his matches with Steamboat and Flair and his series with DDP in WCW, I cannot think of anything better.
Also, speaking of career best performances, the Nasty Boys against the Hart Foundation was one of the better matches of the career of the Nasty Boys. I can't say this was the best. They had a great match with the Steiner Brothers at Halloween Havoc 1990 that I think was a little better. Still I put this a bit ahead of their matches with the various combinations of Maxx Payne, Cactus Jack, and Kevin Sullivan in 1994 WCW. Those matches had a lot of plunduh and a lot of clubberin', as Dusty Rhodes might say, and were revolutionary for their time, but today while still decent, not as good.
The Rockers against Haku and the Barbarian is another honorable mention. Even in these early days, Shawn Michaels was beginning to become Mr. Wrestlemania and was great. Plus, I've always enjoyed Haku and the Barbarian as a tag team. Truly one of the most underrated big man tag teams both here and their run as the Faces of Fear in WCW. And while storyline surrounding it was not in good taste, the actual Slaughter/Hogan match was not all that bad. Any match where Hulk Hogan goes to the top rope is something to behold.
And also, 1-0 for the Undertaker. Not anything memorable and who could ever predict that this simple squash against Jimmy Snuka would start the legendary streak.
