If you are Tiger Woods would you admit in public your faults?

If I am Tiger Woods I wouldn't speak in public admitting my extra marital affairs. I'll try to settle it privately as much as possible. Rumors would remains rumors if not publicly admitted. At the same, as a public figure I think admission in public has greatly stained his name now and his image is totally damaged. If he didn't do it then the people could still give him some benefits of the doubt. If you are in his situation will you do the same? Do you think he did the right decision?
