Is Bernanke a liar or did Ron Paul leave his tinfoil hat at home that day?

Ron Paul goes on a huge rant about how the federal reserve did this or that. Bernanke tells him that he can view every financial transaction the fed was involved with and a full transcript of the FOMC meetings after 5 years have passed. So is what Bernanke saying is not true or what? Because if it is true it makes it look like RP is a tinfoil hat nut job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncw39IADHa4

When I first became aware of Ron Paul, years ago, I thought he was pretty extreme, but in the past few years, I think he's more right-on than a tinfoil hat nut job. In the future, I think I'm going to pay closer attention to what Ron Paul has to say. Why must we wait for 5 years to view/analyze the Fed's transactions? What's wrong with seeing them tomorrow?

Do you understand how the FED operates? Are you aware it isn't even a government agency? That's right, it's private. Dr. Paul is one of the few people in congress who understand monetary policy and how all this works. So far, every prediction he has made reguarding our economy has come to pass. I'd start listening to him a little. Right now, they can't in fact see everything the FED does, even five years out, not everything, only what they choose to show. This is what the "audit the FED" bill is all about. Paul is anything but a tin foil hatter.

Ron Paul is not a nut. He wants transparency in an institution that shouldnt even exist. Do you realize how much the federal reserve makes off of our dollar?

Congressman Paul seems like a victim of his own success. Once he built his career and his recent message on killing the Fed, he has to ride it out or say what he has been saying all these years needs some, er, amending. And Paul won't second guess himself. Personally I like Paul, but he needs to, gulp, compromise sometimes.
