Would you be scared to be a police officer?

Well to tell you all the truth I actually am scared, but I still want to become one because I will be able to help people. Even though I know that every day my life is at risk it is worth it to keep people safe. Would you be scared to become a police officer??? What they do is great it keeps us all safe from crime.
