Government or Private Company?

That's what also my mom has been telling me. In the government, you can retire and receive pension afterwards. Unlike in private companies, you can't retire because they will always hire young people then offer low or basic salaries. It's beneficial on the companies' part because if they keep "old" employees, their salaries get higher as compared to hiring new ones. But I would also like to experience working in a private company that's why I'm sending applications online. Hope I can get out of here as soon as possible and find the company and the job that really fit me. Thanks for the comment!

But I think it also depends on the type of government you have in your country. If it is good - no corruption, etc. - then it would be preferable to work there. But if you talk about Philippine Government - filled with corrupt leaders, the salary is always delayed, etc. - then I would not recommend it to be your employer. And speaking of pension, most of the retirees from the government are having difficulties in claiming their pension. I don't know the problem with Government Service Insurance System but I do think it has to do with corruption again (there's nothing new to it). Anyway, from what country are you Nirishasol? Is your government same as ours?
