Could an woman be the president of America?  

Hillary Clinton was a candidate for the nomination of the Democratic Party in 2008 before losing to Obama.

If she had won the nomination, she could have gone on to be President if she had won the election.

Can women handle it? Three of the last four American Secretaries of State (Madeleine Albright, Condoleeza Rice, and now Hillary Clinton) have been women, so they can hold very powerful jobs. There have been female leaders in other countries who have done well, for example Angela Merkel the current Chancellor in Germany, where I now live, and Helen Clark in New Zealand until last year; on the other hand some who were positively awful (Margaret Thatcher in the UK in the 1980s for example).

The right person will be a good leader. Gender should have nothing to do with it.

I don't have a problem as long as its my mother. Otherwise, I am totally indifferent. I don't care. My mom handles big issues like a fire in kitchen, my breaking up with a girl, father's illness and so many other things that I can't even imagine to manage. She is a good human being. She has feelings not only for her son, but for everybody. She would make a good president. I don't wanna talk about other women as I hardly know them.

i think it is possible if a man can role the nation a woman to beside they are bot citizen of the state and every thing possible when it come to politics, who knows on the next presidential election woman be the winner.

Ofcourse a womam could be president of America.It has not yet happened but will happend in the few years.
I am Indian as India has seen it's first woman President this time,It's the current President of India.This was a example as a mean that there could be a woman President of USA but the day haven't come yet it has to come in near future

I believe for sure there could one day be a female President. I think with a female President the world would end up in a better place then it has in the past. Females are able to deal with so much on their plate at one time with compassion and they know how to get the job done. I only hope and pray that one day I will see it before I die.
