Turn off mobile phone for sleep or not  

I used to off the mobile when it was new.But after the I listen songs while sleeping.
So I just keep it on.When I about to sleep I will off the music player alone and the phone.It is not good to off the phone while sleeping.We can just put that into silent mode while you sleep.If anyone sends a message and it can be a important thing.Then there can be chance of that message not delivering to you ,if your phone is off.So it is good to keep it ON or changing the profile to silent mode.

Why don't you keep the phone in some sort of 'meeting-mode'? Like, no sound, no vibration, just flashing display perhaps.

I too hate having my sleep disturbed, and also I'm kinda person who have a trouble sleeping as well. Although, when I turn off the sound and vibration, I have no problems if the phone itself is on.

You just gotta remember to turn the sound and vibration back on in the morning, which I often forget :P

i would like to turn off it and i always forget to turn it on till the afternoon like you.because i don't like people to bother me in the midnight,it's so boring.

I keep my phone on pretty much 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! It is our only source of phone in the house. We don't have much use for a land line, so my husband and I both just use our cell phones as our main phone. I also use my cell phone as my alarm in the morning, which is another reason why I can't turn my phone off at night. Noone ever calls or texts us late at night though, so nothing like that wakes us up, luckily!

I generally do not switch off the phone as I do not get calls at night, I keep it for alarm purposes only. Yeah I too get disturbed if it rings at night. But my problem is I always forget to make the profile Normal in the morning which I had changed into Silent the previous night.

I find that I receive too many calls from the companies who want to sell their product. I think there is a nexus between service providers and these companies who furnish your mobile number and all the relevant details to these companies, of course at a price. Besides, the service providers too want to sell you their caller tunes and various schemes. You find your phone is ringing incessantly. They have no consideration that you could be busy, or resting in the afternoons. Mercifully, they do not call you for such purposes during nights. Either during afternoons, I switch my mobile off or I keep it in silent mode. This allows me to rest during afternoons.

I dont turn off my phone when I sleep because if there would be some emergency then, and someone would call me then I wont be able to answer. Nobody usually sends me text messages at night too so it doesnt bother me at all okay. My dad always told me not to turn off my phone too when I sleep. I also need a quiet environment when I sleep and my phone doesnt usually make a sound because I dont send text messages a lot.

My cellphone will be turned off automatically at 11pm. Because I don't want being bothered by the unknown phone calls and SMS. Most of them are trash. I don't want they wake me up at night.

I let on, because any time I might get an emergency call. My family or friends might have an accident, I had to see them and of course if there is nothing very important that I don't want to disturb and just ignore it.
