I sold Avon for many years. At first I knew I wouldn't have the income I wanted or needed to live off of. So I did most of my sales online. They had a website and I could direct people to the site. I also ordered things when they were on sale and made gift baskets. Went out to craft sales and did Avon parties at friends houses. Once I had enough clients I was able to quit my part time job and just sell Avon. I was ordering products for at least 150 people a month/ selling at markets counted to as a order to me. I also sold products individually, like things that i thought would sell at a party and did not. Also sold some gift packs online to. Just on ebay. I say give it a try. Still look for a regular job, but also get back into it. If it was something that you enjoyed then give it a shot! It wont hurt to try.
