Ten years of happiness and love or a long but unhappy life?  

Well for me the answer is pretty obvious. I would definitely choose the 10 happy and intense years, an empty life like the one you described seems like a torture to me and I wonder who would choose for that, and about the 10 intense years of happiness I wish i could actually choose for that, do we even get to have 10 years of happiness all summed in our real lives?? I wonder and I am not sure if we do, do we spend at least 10 years of our life being happy?? So for me it sounds like a great deal : I'll have the 10 years please :)

For sure that i will choice 10 years of happiness, i am for life quality.
Sometimes for us is important to be happy, not matter for how long, just to be happy, are people who never in theirs life had happy.
So is better to have something as don t have anything.

I'd rather be happy for someone for a short time, with empty years ahead, than unhappy with someone forever. I've lived alone before, and I don't mind it. I love my husband, and if something were to happen to him I'd miss him, but I'd rather a short marriage of love, than 50 or 60 years of unhappiness.

most of the people are unhappy whether they are arristocate, or high class or higher middle class. but to be happy u have to go with the problems in day-today life.

I would prefer a shorter year with love. There's no greater feeling than falling in love and being loved. I have to say, I could live off without any material things in life as long as my boyfriend is here always with me and my love for music will never go away. Living forever without love is like slow mercy killing. The longer you wait, the more pain you'll feel.

I rather choose 10 years of happiness. Life is not about living a long life but its all about living life to the fullest. Having a long life but unhappy is like dead.

In that case, I'll choose 10 happy years to live than long unhappy years. I think most of the sane people will agree with me. Because, it's easier to live in happiness for a very short time than to live long in unhappiness. There's a saying: "It's better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb". That means it's wise to live with freedom and dignity than to live with disgrace and inhumanity. So, who the fool is there that will live like a lamb for long than a lion for a while? Am I wrong?

Why is it said that happiness should last only 10 years.Is there any way that we may find you personal happiness and it lasts for much longer period.
