How to choose the best guitar strings for your guitar  |

|  ok here i will share with you my experience at various strings i've use on various guitars, first of all for acoustic guitars whatever your dealer tells you, go for phosphor bronze, always! for classical guitar taste may vary but i highly recommend high tension strings, valencia ones, i know they are somewhat expensive and all, but keep in mind that to develop your ear you need to hear good music!

| |  One one of my acoustic guitars, I use phosphor bronze strings, which are the same type that it came with. On my electric guitar, there were originally nickel plated strings, but I have replaced those strings, as well as those on my black acoustic guitar with Ernie Ball slinky style strings. I also have a folk guitar that I started to restore the other day. I use Fender nylon ball-end strings on that one. Originally the strings were looped through and kind of tied off.
Each of these guitars produces such a different sound, and the strings have diffrent feels. I often have trouble shifting between which guitar that I am using. The slinky strings really hurt my fingers compared to the bronze, but they work better for me as I have trouble keeping my fingers to the fretboard.

| | Its time to strengthen those fingers, i.m sure you are able to do bends and all the stuff but why do you have trouble keeping your fingers on the fretboard, ok hmm try the classical left hand style for a few weeks. this style is meant for classic but one advantage is that you use it to do shreds on your electric guitar without moving your thumb. you can cover the first 7 frets with your thumb behind the third and fourth fret, just pivot on your thumb. | | | |

My hands aren't much bigger than that of a 10 year old's and they are very very arthritic. My hand span is about 3.5-4 frets. | | | |

| | You should heal your arthritic, i dont know the cause but playing guitar puts a lot of stress on your fingers, i'm sure sometimes you experience pain while playing after some time, 3.5 frets is enough, like i said before try the classical left hand style ,make a search on it! you wont be disappointed, it might change your playing forever! It's not sometimes experience pain, it's 97% of the time experience pain. Often times online, I will use a speech to text program to communicate effectively and in order to avoid the pain.
Please don't talk as if I don't know anything and that I don't know the scope of my capabilities. It's condescending and mildly offensive.

is there any strings besides valencia ?
still newbie about that, and i just keep playing guitar accoustic, without knowing anything about the strings. ^^

| | i have added an image for the DAddario brand and i,m currently trying out an australian brand (Sterling) . i will keep you updated, feel free to ask any question , by the way there exist a blue package for the strings but the difference is only in the tension of the strings. I will explain tension later on. I will add image for Ernie ball later one(these ones can be a little bit expensive but so far the best on the market based on user review) | | | |
