Has Harry potter series ended?  

No that is not the last movie as if you have read the books you will see that there is at least one more book which means that there should be at least one more movie. Even if it is by a different director it will not make any difference.

The book deathly hollow is the last book of the harry Potter story.
Two Movie will release on the last book the first part will release on november 2010 and second one on july 2011.

I cant say exactly but as the author J.K.Rowling has stopped writing, the story series would have come to an end. But still the movie can be made. But the director has to try more and needs more technology, he 'd be trying to find them out.

There are two more movies in the Harry Potter series that will cover the last book. Filming is almost finished for both movies, with the first part coming out in the fall and the second part coming out next summer. Rumor is most of the actors will stop acting after the series is finished to concentrate on school.

I understand that the last book is going to be treated as 2 movies - so we'll have to see how that goes.

After the next book they might just make another movie. For the money. In the last book there is an epiloge which they could make a story about. I don't think it would be any good, but i certain it would earn some money.

They are going to make two films! The last book is very important and therefore nothing is skipped which results in 2 films ;)
