Family Guy: Like it or think it's stupid?  |

|  I used to think Family guy was stupid. Every time I'd see a commercial on tv or see a part of an episode I'd think it was one of the stupidest shows out there. I didn't like it and thought it was just vulgar brainless comedy. But, then my brother got a few episodes for his PSP and I watched a few, and I really started liking the show. Now I watch it on tv all the time, and I must say I love it. :D Yes, it IS innapropriate often, but it's actually a really uplifting show. :D N every time I watch it, I laugh and get into a happier mood. It's more than just comedy, I love the characters, and how each one has its own personality. I especially love Stewie. He's deliciously evil, but also funny because sometimes he's just as naive and adorable as a real baby. It's not THAT brainless as well, because often there are satirical references to many ideas, people, and even political references. So, I guess I just never really gave it a chance because I'd see small parts of it and automatically push it away. If you hate it and think it's a stupid show, I suggest watching a few episodes and getting to know it better before making a decision, because you could really be missing out!

| |  I'm on the fence with family guy. I do think it is pretty funny though. It's just sometimes they try so hard to be funny that it is just stupid. Sometimes things just don't quite make sense. I think Stewie and Brian are funny together. Being a mom though I love Lois. I like how she can go from being a mom to a wild woman lol. It still is no Simpsons though.

| | lol. yeah. haha. like I said stewie is my favorite cuz he's just such a fun character. n yea, in family guy there are a lott of references, so if you don't keep up with some recent events or celebrities etc, then you might not get some of them n think they dont make sense. and haha, yes, :D wildd woman. :D | | | |

| |  I thought Family Guy was stupid at first, as well- that was before I actually watched an episode. When I did start watching, I couldn't help but laugh! >w<
Some of the jokes are just really juvenile (fart jokes, mispronounced words, etc) but I find them absolutely hilarious.
I also enjoy the show for its social commentary/satire. Brian is the character I can relate to most.

| |  Both! I love it and I also think it's stupid. :) The stupidity of it is hilarious. The show always makes me laugh. I think I like Brian the most. The talking dog is awesome. :) Stewie is also pretty cool, and all the characters are hilarious! The shows are great and I love watching them for a laugh. They're so stereotypical in that show, its great. Like the episode where Peter looks for a Jew to be able to finance his money... Not to be racist! Gotta love Family Guy.
