Is it just me or Dr phil tells people things that are so Obvious????

I mean people leave their homes travel long distances and humiliate themselves on t.v just to hear a guy tell them to STOP! doing what your doing? I mean it if you figured you had a problem that cause you to reflect and say you "I need help" wouldn't you seek someone outside of the mainstream and just get fixed?? I hear people just getting yelled at and they could have gotten someone on the street to do that for them (v.i.p me) lol, but honestly what is going on with us Americans today we are grown adults that need other adults to walk us through life if the parents need help what will our future generations look like??? what do you think???

Actually I stopped watching Dr. Phil after seeing some recent shows on the "Dr. Phil family". I was just discussed by what I was seeing. Alexandra had just given up custody of her first two children and announced that she was pregnant again. I thought Dr.Phil was right about her when she was younger. I thought that Alexandra was taking the councilling for granted. Her sister was doing the same thing. After seeing that Alexandra was pregnant again I stopped watching.
