I am not religious at all and have nothing against the Catholic Church, but I am not entirely trusting of their "facts". They have done much harm over the years and I am sure that not all of their wealth was accumulated ethically.

It is very hard to know what to believe when it comes to early history. I am willing to keep an open mind to all versions of history and live in the now.

Just goes to show that the Roman Catholics can make mistakes. The BBC pour water on the Scotland connection but they say he was born in Wales! Wikipedia and Wapedia both claim Cumbria. So we shall have to differ. You may claim him on behalf of your ancestors and I on behalf of mine! So there! LOL. Happy St Patrick's day whatever nation he may have been born in. It certainly wasn't Ireland on that we all seem to be agreed.

One other thing. Remember Hadrian's Wall. That was abandoned by the Romans by 367 and Scotland left to the Picts. How could there have been Romans still in Scotland in 387? Dumbarton is over 100 miles south from the Wall! The Romans retreated back into England (as we now know it) in 211 after the death of Emperor Severus.

Sorry Dumbarton is north of the wall, I meant that the wall was south.

Can you please provide a link to confirm your statement or is it just the facts according to your imagination???? So glad at least you corrected yourself trying to relocate Dumabarton into England....shame on you! Perhaps you are confused with Antonine's Wall when the Roman retreated back to south of Hadrians wall in 160-180 AD as Scotland refused to be under Roman rule. However the Roman's did not leave England until circa 410 AD.
Perhaps you need to contact the Pope and let him know his Church's historical facts are incorrect!!!

This is England. Apart from Sports bars and Irish clubs there's no real celebration here and definitely no green beer. Whatever next! LOL.
