Do you lock your doors?  

I believe we have the same experience and trauma, if you may call it that. We used to just leave our front doors open until just recently a thief came in and stole my cellphone and money in a quick sweep. It was then that the close door policy was exercised at all times.

Hi, artsy. I keep all of my windows and doors securely locked even if it is in the day time. That is just how I am. I don't feel safe with my doors wide open even in the day time. They have to be locked even if I am standing in the same room as the door that is opened.

Locking your house at any time is a very good idea. Two of my family's houses got robbed and I got tired because here in Romania the police [like almost anything] it's how should I call it... low quality?
So yes lock it up..There's nothing to lose and you never know when you might get some "surprise guests".

Yes we lock all our doors and windows, because where I live, is not safe around here, when I am in the house, alone by myself, I make sure the house, is all locked up, you just can't trust people like you use to any more.

We lock door when we go out and time for us to sleep. We open our doors during the day. El nino is here so it's usually hot in our place.

Nowadays, it is really unsafe to leave our doors unlocked. When I was young, we always leave our door unlocked during mornings and only lock it when all of us will be sleeping already. But at this point in time, robbers may strike anytime, even at broad day lite.

So sorry to hear about that incident. I am just very glad that it didn't happen to us and hope we won't be a victim in the future.

I think we should not trust anyone in here because even though we know our neighbors very well, it doesn't mean that they would do only good. There are really people that you thought they are but secretly, they aren't. And also, we don't know that there will be strangers who will roaming around our house and will just find time in order to get something inside. Well, our neighbors were victim of that.

So, that incident of our neighbor was an eye opener for us to always lock everything here in our house. We always make sure that if no one is around here in our house, we must lock everything and we need to lock our gate properly as well.

Nowadays, it's really hard to just take everything for granted. We must keep on watching our every action and we must make sure that it's for our safety...
